St. Phileas

I was bishop of Thmuis and martyr in Lower Kemet. I was wealthy. During Diocletian's reign of terror and persecutions, I was jailed in Alexandria. I wrote letters to my parishioners on heroism of my fellow Christians. (Possibly with Thimous, and Philoromus, other Kemetian Martyrs.).Through the authority of Prefect Culcianus. Martyred in 304 A.D, with Philoromus, the Tribune. 4 Dec., and 26 Dec. Latin Rite, 14 Oct. Coptic Calendar.
