St. James of Sasseau

Death: 865

Benedictine hermit. Born in Constantinople, he joined the army and gradually made his way to France where he entered the Church and received ordination at Clermont Abbey. He became a Benedictine near Bourges and retired to the life of a hermit at Sasseau.
