St. Eadbert

Abbot bishop of Lindisfarne, Ireland, successor of St. Cuthbert. He was praised by St. Bede for his learning and knowledge of the Scriptures. Eadbert's relics were enshrined in Durham, England, circa 875. In some lists he is called Edbert.
