St. Anastasius IX

Hermit and bishop of Ter in Italy. Anastasius is believed to have been a Syr who became a hermit near Perugia, Italy. Records indicate that he was made bishop as well, although there may be some confusion about his identity. He entered the Roman Martyrology in 1518.
