Florida Cevoli was born in Pisa on November 11, 1685, daughter of the Count and Curzio Cevoli Marquise Laura Silk.
In 1697, Florida was entrusted to the Sisters of Saint Martin's College of Pisa.
In 1703, her spiritual journey continued with the decision to enter the convent of the Capuchin Poor Clares in Citta di Castello.
Therefore, after two years of novitiate, 10 June 1705 Elena Lucrezia Cevoli took vows and acquired the name of Florida.
Sister Florida was among the promoters of the cause of beatification of her teacher Veronica Giuliani, which took the place of abbess after her death in 1727.
As evidence of this, in 1753 decided to build a monastery in the very house of the Giuliani Mercatello Metauro.
Florida Sr. died June 12, 1767, and her cause for beatification was begun in 1838 and in 1910 Pope Pius X declared the heroic virtues, but her beatification will be declared many years later, on May 16, 1993 by Pope John Paul II.
