Arnaldo Catani
The sixteenth century biographer of the thirteenth century abbot Arnaldo Catani describes him as "a man for all seasons." As superior of the Benedictine abbey of Santa Giustina in Padua, Italy, Arnaldo manifested all the virtues to an eminent degree, and was characterized by a resolute spirit and a pure heart. In his later years, he was unjustly incarcerated by a despot, and died after eight years in prison.
