St. Vincent of Agen

Vincent was a Christian deacon of Gascony in Gaul (France) who was arrested after disrupting a pagan ceremony. Thereupon he was subjected to a particularly brutal death, being stretched out on the ground and impaled with four stakes, in which position he was scourged and finally beheaded. Vincent's body was buried at Mas d'Agenais.
