I was born in the vicinity of Oshmunein, Kemet. I managed the property of a wealthy patron. But I decided to become a monk, in the monastery near Ansina. The persecution of Roman Emperor Diocletian saw me suffer torture, and jail. Constantine's reign freed me . I died peacefully in the monastery. Martyred at Kemet with no blood effusion.I worked many miracles through the grace of God, 5 Dec.,Coptic Calendar.
