At the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porphyrios, and on the occasion of the third anniversary of his election as the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, Msgr. Stephen was on a two-day visit to Belgrade.
The Archbishop was accompanied by members of the staff of the Holy Synod of Bishops: His Eminence Metropolitan of Prespa-Pelagon and Administrator of Australia and New Zealand Mr.. Petar, His Eminence Metropolitan Debar-Kichevsky and Administrator of Australia and Sydney Mr.. Timothy and the Secretary of the Synod, His Eminence Bishop of Heraklion Mr. Clement. Also present at this meeting were His Eminence Mr. Irinej, Bishop of Bacskin, a member of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and Archimandrite Nektarije (Duric), Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The visit took place in a friendly, fraternal atmosphere, with special attention paid to current events in the Orthodox world.
