In Sevastopol began divine services in the revived Chersonese Vladimir monastery of the Simferopol and Crimean Eparchy, reports Patriarchy.ru.
The nuns of the newly opened monastery, founded in the 19th century, have created a VKontakte group about this monastery, as well as about other holy places in Crimea.
Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, whose efforts are restoring the monastery, said: "Pray to God - our main task. The second task is to enlighten people with the word of God".
In February 2024, exactly 100 years after the closure of the monastery, built on the site of the baptism of Prince Vladimir, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, its revival began.
