On December 17, 2023, the day of commemoration of the Great Martyr Barbara, the newly built church for the reading of the Psalms was consecrated at the Dormition Pyukhtitsa Stavropegial Nunnery.
The consecration rite was performed by Metropolitan Eugene of Tallinn and All Estonia, accompanied by Archpriest Alexander Lebedev, a clergyman of the Tallinn diocese, and the clergy of the Pyukhtitsa monastery.
In 1986, a house church was consecrated in the almshouse of the Pyukhtitsa Monastery in honor of St. Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow, and the Great Martyr Barbara. On August 29, 2016, a new building of the almshouse and church in honor of St. Alexis of Moscow and the Great Martyr Barbara was laid in the monastery; the new church is designed to read the Psalms. The construction was completed in 2023.
