Representatives of the regional, city and district authorities, as well as residents and guests of the city of Polotsk with roundels and icons in their hands proceeded to the Cathedral Square, where they were joined by the Patriarchal Exarch, archpastors, clergy, authorities, honored guests, sisters of the monastery and pilgrims.
At the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, the Holy Fathers, Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk, Abbess Evdokia and the sisters of the Polotsk monastery, the authorities and all those who honored the feast were proclaimed.
Afterwards, the deputy chairman of the regional executive committee Vyacheslav Durnov addressed the audience. He read out the welcoming speech of Natalia Kochanova, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin also addressed an archpastoral word to all those present. At the end of the ceremony a prayer service to St. Euphrosyne with akathist in chant was held. The guests of the monastery and A festive meal was offered to the pilgrims.
