The exhibition «Patriarch Hermogenes and his time» telling about the life and works of one of the most important hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church, presents exhibits of the late XVI — early XVII century. Among them are an icon with stamps telling about the apparition of the Kazan image of the Mother of God, created with the blessing of St. Ermogen, a collection with the service of the miracle-working icon of the Queen of Heaven, published by an anonymous printing house in Kazan and testifying to the early book printing in our city. Authentic columns and manuscripts, items of church art and personal piety will tell you about about the life of Russian society of the 16th-17th centuries, and the reconstruction of clergy vestments and costumes of Russian soldiers will help guests of the diocesan museum to feel the atmosphere of those times.
