"On November 1, 1894 (October 20, O.S.), the reign of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II began.
The Grand Duke was 26 years old at that time. He was to stand at the head of the Russian Empire and marry his bride - Princess of Hesse-Darmstadt, in the future Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. Or, as Nicholas II himself called his wife, "sweet Alix".
On November 14 (26), 1894, the birthday of Empress Maria Feodorovna, in the Great Church of the Winter Palace the Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich was married to the Grand Duchess Alexandra Feodorovna
The photographs from the family archive show with what awe, warmth and love the crowned family treated their loved ones.
How selflessly they helped people. How, not neglecting work, on an equal footing with others, worked as sisters of mercy, bandaged the wounded and participated in operations.
How, despite everything, remained a strong family, support for each other.
Showing an example of real service to God, Motherland and people.
We are waiting for everyone who wants to participate.
