The Moscow Architectural Institute hosted the opening of the exhibition "God is with us!

The exhibition was opened by the Rector of MARKhI, President of RAASN, Academician D. O. Shvidkovsky. "Today's event is absolutely fundamental and important for the Institute. We expressed our civic position at the very beginning of the NWO and now we want to show that it is not only words, it is first of all deeds. Our staff conducts research work in the zone of military operation, fixing the ruins of temples, often under fire. This is done with an understanding of the importance of the task entrusted to us - to restore the spiritual potential of the united with all regions of our country. The experience of our employee, the remarkable sculptor Elena Brusentsova, who shows her working process of creating busts of heroes of the military operation, has become unique. MARHI strives to unite all efforts: both artistic and design, aimed at helping the victory, at raising the spirit and at the beginning of restoration of new regions and spiritual potential to the fullest extent. That's what we're doing it all for.

The opening of the exhibition, as a good endeavor in fostering patriotism in young people was blessed by Propriest Father Igor (Fomin), rector of the church at the diplomatic academy: "We are here today at a unique exhibition. It is not large, but it is very deep, important and necessary for the further existence and dignified life of our country. There will come a time when a peaceful sky will shine, when people will live in peace calmly, and when monuments to heroes will stand in these new territories and throughout the country. This exhibition also shows how churches are being restored. Temples will be restored and, God willing, new ones will appear. Today's exhibition is the future of our gratitude, the future of our memory of those who gave us a peaceful sky above our heads. God sees our love for these heroes, and may God bless us for this right, kind and necessary undertaking".

The opening was attended by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Domestic Policy A. Yu. Vylegzhanin, who emphasized the unique opportunity to see an exhibition dedicated to our heroes and the contribution that Russia is making today in preserving and ensuring life in the new territories. "Unquestionably, a great contribution is the restoration of churches that are inhumanely destroyed. As of today, it is known that the victims of the ongoing policy has already become more than 200 temples. In two years, with the help of MARHI specialists, 35 temples have been restored and the work continues. We see with our own eyes with what warmth local residents speak about this activity".

The head of the construction firm Pirs-M S. N. Ivantsov emphasized that this exhibition is necessary, "that young people always remember that those forces with which we are fighting, no matter how beautiful they do not look, are set to destroy our country. We must not allow this to happen. Therefore, I urge everyone to help as much as possible. We need your moral support very much!""

The welcoming speech was made by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts O. A. Koshkin. A. Koshkin, who emphasized the importance of involving young people in the process of restoring monuments for future generations. Professor of MARHI A. I. Makarov in his speech reminded everyone that the institute has always been characterized by a clear patriotic orientation.

The exhibition was prepared by Elena Brusentsova, Associate Professor of MARKhI, sculptor, and the staff of the Center for Classical and Traditional Architecture of MARKhI. The sculptor emphasized the features of the warriors and their inner state. The peculiarity of the exposition is in the search and creation of archetypal images when forming a portrait of the modern history of Russia. The bright figure of the exhibition is an unknown military priest - a collective image of an Orthodox bishop at war. The works at the exhibition are presented at the stage of sketches. The architectural space of the exhibition is organized with special lighting and emphasis on sculptural portraits of the heroes of the NWO. The background of the sculptural portraits are photographs and drawings made for the revival of churches in the new regions of the Russian Federation. All the projects were made by the staff of the Center for Classical and Traditional Architecture of the MARHI under the The exhibition is curated by Alexey Kapustin. The curator of the exhibition is Professor A. A. Malinov.

The exhibition is open in the Gallery VKHUTEMAS MARKHI from 10:00 to 17:00 until July 24, 2024.
