On June 8-9, 2024 on the territory of the Staropigial Nunnery — Marfo-Mariana Cloister of Mercy Moscow will host the city charity festival of mercy «White Wings».
On June 8-9, 2024 the city charity festival «White Wings» will be held.
Organizers of the festival — Department of Health of Moscow, Marfo-Mariinsky monastery, Svyato-Dimitrievskoe school of sisters of mercy and Central Clinical Hospital of St. Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow.

The program will include open discussions «Self-identification in the conditions of modern challenges» (June 8) and «Modern heroes of modern Russia as an example for all of us today» (June 9).
At the charity fair it will be possible to buy handicraft items made by students of state educational institutions of the Moscow City Health Department.
Master classes will be held at the festival for those who want to learn how to provide first aid:
- safe recreation in nature;
- first aid for combined injuries at explosion;
- first aid in emergency conditions for adults and children of different ages (basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation in case of airway obstruction);
- composition of a tactical first aid kit;
All master classes will be conducted by teachers and the best students of St. Demetrius College of Sisters of Mercy. Participants will be awarded special certificates of training.
The tradition of charity festivals goes back to the pre-revolutionary years. At such events, funds were collected for charitable purposes: for orphanages, for the construction of hospitals, almshouses and lodging houses. Nowadays the traditions of mercy, selfless service to the neighbor are being revived.
