On May 24, 2024, the day of the commemoration of the Equal Apostles Methodius and Cyril, teachers of Slovenia, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. The day also marks the Day of Slavonic Script and Culture and the namesake of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
On his arrival at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill worshiped the miracle-working Tikhvin icon of the Mother of God, installed in the center of the temple. On May 21, with the blessing of His Holiness, the miracle-working image was brought to Moscow from the Tikhvin Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos.

We bring glory to Thee, as to God, and we cry with supplication: deliver now Thy namesake servant and the Church of Russia, guided by him, from all opposition of visible and invisible enemies. But grant to Her faithful children sinless long life with health and prosperity in all virtues, we pray Thee, O Most Merciful King, mercifully hear and soon have mercy on them.
Also at the Litany of Supplication the petitions for the unity of Holy Russia were proclaimed. To Your Majesty, with fear and trembling, as unworthy servants, we give thanks to Your goodness for Your goodness upon Your servant, now His namesake, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, who were, now humbly offering, as Lord, Master and Benefactor, we glorify, praise, sing and magnify, and falling down, we give thanks again, humbly praying for Thy immense and inexpressible mercy. May You be pleased to accept and mercifully fulfill the prayers of Your servants as You are now, and in the time before us, in Your sincere love and in all the virtues of those who flourish, Your favors. Thy faithful servant now being honored with the namesake of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, grant that he may receive the Church of Russia, leading by himóand thereby delivering from every evil circumstance, and giving peace and serenity, to Thee, with Thy Immaculate Father, and Thy Most Holy and Blessed, and Most Eternal, and Thy Only-begotten Spirit, in One Being, glorified God, always giving thanks, and giving thanks, and saying and singing praises: Glory to Thee, O God, our benefactor, forever and ever.
