On May 22, 2024, on the feast of the transfer of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from Myra of Lycia to Bar (1087), His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia visited Nikolo-Ugreshsky Stavropegial Monastery.

Hegumen John (Rubin), deputy chairman of the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechesis and a resident of the Nikolo-Ugreshskaya monastery, delivered the sermon before communion.
At the end of the Liturgy, a glorification and prayer were celebrated at the ark with a part of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
Afterwards, Hegumen Methodius (Zinkovsky), Vicar of the Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery, welcomed His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and presented His Holiness with a mosaic image of St. Nicholas.
