Nikšić, July 19, 2024.
A unique exhibition of archival photographs of the royal Romanov family "Towards the Russian Tsar" opened in Montenegro as part of the festival "Romanov Days in Niksic".

The exposition was solemnly opened by the Russian Ambassador to Montenegro Vladislav Maslennikov.

Guests of the event included Marko Kovacevic, Mayor of Niksic, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and representatives of patriotic public organizations, numerous residents of the city.
Pavel Bushuev, Advisor to the Director of the Russian House in Belgrade, emphasized in his speech that the opening of the exhibition was a double premiere. The first was the unique exhibition "Towards the Russian Tsar", prepared by the Russian House with the support of the Sretensky Monastery and Hieromonk Ignatius (Shestakov). And the second was the premiere of the movie "Tsar Nicholas" made by journalist Igor Damjanovich for the 106th anniversary of the death of the royal family.
The screening was followed by a presentation of Zelidrag Nikčević's book "Russian Mirror".
The third festival "Days of Romanovs in Niksic", dedicated to the Russian imperial family, started on Wednesday, July 17, the anniversary of the death of the royal family, in Montenegro.
The event began with a solemn liturgy in the Cathedral Church of St. Basil of Ostrog, which was served by Metropolitan Ioannikiy of Montenegro and Primorye, Metropolitan Aristarkh of Kemerovo and Prokopyevsk, and Bishop Mefodiy of Budimljansko-Niksic. Among the many believers at the liturgy were Niksic Mayor Marko Kovacevic, Russian Ambassador to Montenegro Vladislav Maslennikov, and representatives of the Russian House in Belgrade.
The Days of Romanovs festival will continue in Niksic until July 21.
The exhibition "Towards the Russian Tsar" will be in Niksic until July 24, after which it will go to the cities of Montenegro.
