In Kurgan diocese sisters of mercy prepared 50 food kits and 50 kits with hygiene products. Sisters of the social point "Niva of Mercy" at the church in honor of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul collected 20 bags of food and sent them to the victims. The social department of the Orsk diocese together with the social departments of the Orenburg and Buzuluk dioceses are collecting humanitarian aid, food, clothes, personal hygiene items and with the help of volunteers distribute them to temporary accommodation centers, as well as provide material and spiritual support to the victims. Representatives of the Orsk diocese brought 150 kg of food and more than 300 kg of clothes to four temporary accommodation centers. Archpriest Vyacheslav Kochkin, head of the social department of the Orsk diocese, personally evacuated 45 patients from a flooded hospital in the city. The Orsk diocese organized the evacuation of several families with children to the Magnitogorsk diocesan Mother and Child Care Center.
On April 9, humanitarian aid for flood victims, collected by the social department of the Orenburg diocese, was delivered to Orsk. The humanitarian cargo was personally accompanied by Metropolitan Peter of Orenburg and Saraktash. Personal hygiene products, baby diapers, food, baby porridge, formula, clothes for children and adults, bed linen sets, mattresses, blankets, pillows, drinking water and other necessities were delivered to Orsk. The aid was delivered to the Iversky Nunnery in Orsk, and then it will be transferred to temporary accommodation centers.

In the Orenburg diocese victims of flooding are received daily without interruption in the relief center "Cradle". Those in need are given food, personal hygiene products, clothes, shoes, household appliances, warm blankets, pillows, bedding, and help with accommodation. Specialists offer legal, psychological, humanitarian and informational assistance to those who apply to "Cradle". In addition to Cradle, almost all churches in Orenburg have become centers for collecting humanitarian aid.
Also in support of the victims, the social department of the Orenburg diocese in cooperation with the charity fund "Food Bank "Rus"" organizes charity events "Basket of Kindness" in "Pyaterochka" stores in Orenburg.
