His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the heads of the Ancient Eastern Churches, which in 2024 will celebrate the feast of the Pascha of Christ on May 5. Among the recipients of the congratulatory messages are His Holiness Patriarch Tawadros II of the Coptic Church, His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Ephraim II of the Syriac Orthodox Church, and His Holiness Patriarch Abuna Matthias of Ethiopia.
In his Paschal greeting, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church emphasized: "On these solemn days the faithful glorify the Lord who rose from the tomb, who came to earth, not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45). Through His free suffering on the cross and His three-day Resurrection, Christ gives each of us the greatest example of sacrificial love."
His Holiness is convinced that in praising the Creator of our salvation, who broke the chains of sin and death, we are called to bring the light of the Gospel to the world and to care for the establishment of high moral ideals in people's lives.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill wished the Primates of the Ancient Eastern Churches good health, spiritual vigor and Easter joy, God's help and success in their ministries.
