June 3, 2024 marked the 142nd anniversary of the founding of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society. On that day, a meeting of the IPPO Council was held under the chairmanship of S.V. Stepashin. The agenda included summarizing the results of the Society's activities in the first half of 2024, preparation for the 160th anniversary of the birth of the Venerable Martyr Grand Duchess Elisabeth Feodorovna.

Gromova, first deputy chairman of the Russian Orthodox Church's Department for Church Charity and Social Service. S.N. Ryabukhin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets, M.V. Bibikov, Deputy Chairman of the IPPO, Chief Scientific Associate of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, E.A. Agapova, Deputy Chairman of the IPPO, Head of the IPPO Public Center for the Protection of Christians in the Middle East and North Africa, M.B. Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage, member of the IPPO Council, other members of the IPPO Council, numerous heads of its regional branches and foreign representations.
With the blessing of the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, his deputy Protopriest Nikolai Lishchenyuk participated in the meeting.
