Belgrade, June 7, 2024
On June 2, a joint action of the Russian House in Belgrade and the representative office of the Russian Humanitarian Mission in the Balkans took place: the staff of the Russian House, headed by its head Evgeny Baranov, handed over to the Church of the Holy Trinity in Glogovica (n. in the municipality of Aleksinac) a diesel generator with a capacity of 6 kW.in the municipality of Aleksinac) a 6 kW diesel generator.

The active Church of the Holy Trinity is located in a remote mountainous area with no communications and no paved road, yet is itself an important historical landmark and a symbol of Russian-Serbian military brotherhood. It was erected in honor of the fallen heroes of the Serbian-Turkish war of 1876, among them a large number of Russian volunteers who gave their lives for the freedom of Serbia. During that war, there was a field hospital on the site of the current rectory house, where soldiers wounded in the Battle of Sumatov were treated, and on the territory of the church there is a crypt with the remains of the fallen soldiers. It is planned that the rectory house will be renovated in the near future. An exhibition prepared by the Russian House in Belgrade on Russian volunteers, participants in the Serbian-Turkish war, with their portraits and information about the battles in which they took part, will be on display at the time.
The action to deliver a generator to the Holy Trinity Church in Glogovica was realized with the support of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Niš.
