On August 15, 2024, Archpriest Sergius Klyaev, a representative of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, visited the Kursk Regional Clinical Hospital, where he met with the hospital's chief physician. The parties discussed issues of pastoral care for the hospital's patients.

On the same day, Fr. Sergius Klyaev met with representatives of the military department. During the meeting, the order of visits by priests from the Synodal Department for Charity to the wounded in hospitals was determined. The work will be organized as it is organized in the conflict zone; priests will come to Kursk on a business trip for two weeks and visit the wounded in hospitals and hospitals every day.

The day before, on August 14, a meeting of  representatives of the Synodal Department for Charity Archpriest Sergiy Klyaev and the head of hospital ministry Natalia Shakuro with hospital priests of the Kursk diocese took place. At the meeting, they discussed issues of providing pastoral and volunteer assistance to the wounded in medical facilities.
