This year marks the 20th anniversary of the portal Miloserdiye.ru. Today the portal has one million unique readers per month. The portal publishes requests for help for the treatment of children and adults, rehabilitation for the disabled, and the needs of people in difficult life situations. Over the last 20 years, 900 million rubles have been collected to help people, and more than 2,500 people have received help. More than 15,800 donors annually help through the Miloserdie.ru portal, Patriarchy.ru reports.
"Our portal has two main tasks. The first one is to publish articles that help to survive various difficulties - experience of people who have gone through trials, instructions, analytics, reports, interviews. The second is to attract as many people as possible to help those in need, so that love can multiply in the world," says Julia Danilova, editor-in-chief of the portal.
Cultural and educational events are planned for the anniversary of Miloserdiya.ru.
At the lecture "Pre-Easter Talks" on Friday, April 26, biblical scholar and historian Priest Alexander Timofeev will talk about the Shroud of Turin.
On May 11, a tour of Moscow "100 Years of Moscow Charity in 100 Minutes" will be held in support of the portal. Funds from the sale of tickets will be used to organize the work of the portal.
The second charity festival "The Star of Christmas" is scheduled for December 2024 and January 2025. The festival will feature an exhibition of Russian social posters from the early 20th century, "Don't Tire of Donating!", timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Miloserdiye.ru portal.
For 20 years of work on "Miloserdiye.ru" 7437 supporting, explanatory, reference and expert materials were published. 16,418 news about new laws, benefits, medicines, assistance to victims and other important events of the NGO sector have been published.
