A working meeting of the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin with the Belarusian Peace Foundation was held on November 13, 2024 in the Synodal Hall of the Minsk Diocesan Administration.

A working meeting of the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin with the activists of the Belarusian Peace Foundation took place.

The event summarized the results of cooperation between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Belarusian Peace Foundation, and also discussed joint plans for 2025.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the board of the public association «Belarusian Peace Foundation» Maxim Misko, deputy chairmen of the board Alexander Chirko, Georgy Kozel, Vyacheslav Novitsky, Hero of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya, members of the board of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, heads of the regional and Minsk city branches of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, as well as activists of the organization.

Summarizing the implementation of joint projects, it was noted that the plan to equip the house church in the Polotsk Cadet School was implemented in less than a year. Earlier the initiative to open the temple was taken by Maksim Misko and Metropolitan Veniamin. The temple was consecrated in October by Metropolitan Veniamin in honor of the sainted graduates of the Polotsk cadet school Varsonfiy of Optina and Nikolai of Polotsk Okolovich. The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of opening similar temples in other cadet schools, as it contributes to the education of noble warriors and is conditioned by historical experience.

Representatives of the Belarusian Peace Foundation also supported the proposal to help build a chapel at the resting place of Blessed Valentina of Minsk.

The working version of the site Uznik.by on memorializing the prisoners of Nazi concentration camps during the Great Patriotic War was presented at the meeting. The site is being created with the blessing of Metropolitan Veniamin by the Belarusian Peace Foundation, the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Belarusian Peace Foundation were honored with awards of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
