On Great Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Summer of the Lord, in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrije in New Belgrade, His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porfirije, in the co-service of His Eminence Vicar Bishop of Toplice, Mr. Petar.
- We hope that the Lord will number us among those who realized that the Gospel is the truth, the way and the life, and who tried, despite all their weaknesses, to follow this path, among those in whose heart the driving force was love. ; and this mover will be the pledge that can turn into true and real joy, called eternity, eternal life, the Kingdom of God, in which He reigns, the only one of us in the Trinity, God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever - preached Patriarch Porphyrios (read more HERE).
Also serving His Holiness were: Hieromonk Ambrosios from Athens; Archpriests Gregory Sapsai, Vojislav Kostić and Aleksandar Bajić; Priests Ivan Faranov, Srboljub Ostojić and Stefan Vasiljević; Archdeacon Marko, Archdeacon Radomir Vručinić, and Deacon Marko Simić.
At the conclusion of the Holy Liturgy, Patriarch Porfirije honored Archpriest Grigorije Sapsaj with the right to wear the pectoral cross.

After the end of the Holy Liturgy, Patriarch Porfiry went to the Parish Hall of the Church of St. Simeon of Myrotochivy, where in the His Holiness' honor attended classes at schools attached to hospitals and homes in Belgrade and Stara Pazova and the Children's Ensemble of the KUD Tourist School "New Belgrade" presented a performance entitled "The Wheel as an Icon of the Church". His Holiness followed the program with special attention and approval, and then lingered in conversation for a long time, paying attention to each participant of the event, and especially to their outstanding religious teacher Mrs. Milica Rakic.
