The Russian Spiritual Mission was represented at the official reception at the Russian ambassador's residence in Tel Aviv by Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), Hegumen Nikon (Golovko), Hieromonk Tikhon (Proyaev) and Deacon Macarius Petukhov.
Among the officials at the reception were former Israeli Prime Minister E. Olmert, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel Y. Fuchs, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation and sister states, politicians and public figures of Israel, veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The reception was attended by a church choir of graduates of the Sretensky Theological Seminary, which performed songs of the war years at the residence of the Russian ambassador.
