From May 15 to November 30, 2024, taking into account the need to support creative initiatives of the younger generation, Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechesis organizes an interregional competition «The history of my family in the history of my native land»
.The contest is aimed at forming continuity in the study and preservation of the traditions of one's family through regional excursion activities, creating conditions for the development and presentation of excursion routes that promote the development and support of teenagers' motivation to acquire knowledge about the culture and traditions of their family, as well as the development of project activities of students.

The competition is held in one age category: 13-17 years old, in two nominations: «Heroic history of my small motherland» (period of the Great Patriotic War), «History of my region in historical and cultural monuments».
The responsible for the organization and holding of this event in the regions are diocesan departments of religious education with the support of regional ministries (departments) of culture and ministries (departments) of education (by agreement).
The works of participants from dioceses for the final stage are accepted only in the team version: first place in the nomination «Heroic history of my small homeland» and first place in the nomination «History of my region in historical and cultural monuments».
