On June 2, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the feast of the Catholic saint of Etchmiadzin.
On the occasion of the significant day, the Mother See Congregation of Holy Etchmiadzin, H.S.O.T.T. Under the leadership of the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin, he took part in the sacred liturgy at St. Gayane Monastery. The Holy Liturgy was attended by bishops serving in various structures of the Mother See, heads of Armenian dioceses and many Armenian pilgrims.
Touching upon the precepts of the feast, His Holiness spoke about the significance of Holy Etchmiadzin and its role in the life of our nation. "Holy Etchmiadzin is the condensation and guardian of our national-Christian identity, which was confirmed by the descent of the Miadzin, became Armenian by the feat of the Holy Translators, crystallized over the centuries in the soul and heart of our Armenians, becoming the guarantee of immortality, the meeting place of man and God, where time is timeless and sincere prayer is heard.
To be faithful to the Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin means to love our Motherland, the Armenian Church of God and to believe in immortality, becoming preachers of light, hope and love in the Armenian Church. this life," Father Zakaria said.
On the occasion of the feast, the clergyman also congratulated His Holiness the Patriarch, the Congregation of the Mother See and all the faithful, wishing that with the blessing of Holy Etchmiadzin we will be able to overcome all the trials and difficulties as soon as possible.
At the end of the solemn ceremony of the liturgy, under the solemnity of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the wish of the Patriarch was fulfilled.
The faithful and churchmen present offered prayers to God for the eternal light, construction and steadfastness of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the perpetuation of its sacred mission in the life of the Armenians.
