On May 30, the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the feast of St. Hovhannes Karapet and St. Athanagin, bishop, which is also the day of vows of St. Shoghakat Monastery in Echmiadzin.
In the morning, the cross relic containing the relics of St. Hovhannes the Baptist was carried in a solemn procession of churchmen from the Mother See to St. Shoghakat Monastery.
His Highness led the procession to the arch of St. Gregory the Illuminator.
