On June 6, 2024, festive events were held on the bank of the Velikaya River, dedicated to the finding of the wonderworking Velikoretsk image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The services were led by Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Slobodsk, Metropolitan John of Yoshkar-Ola and Mari, Bishop Paisius of Yaransk and Luz, Bishop Vsevolod of Urzhum and Omutninsk.

After the Liturgy there was a rite of consecration of the water of the Velikaya River, the font and the spring, on which in the XIV century was found Velikoretsky image of St. Nicholas. Vladyka Mark sprinkled the faithful with holy water. The icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was carried by a procession of the cross was transferred to St. Nicholas Church of the Velikoretsky suburb of St. Trifonov Monastery.
