The Liturgy was sung by the combined choir of the St. Petersburg and Pskov Metropolises, conducted by Yuri Gerasimov.

The service was prayed at by Andrei Turchak, acting head of the Altai Republic, Vera Emelyanova, first deputy governor of the Pskov region, Oksana Filippova, head of the Pushkinogorsky district, Dmitry Bystrov, head of the Ostrovsky district, Abbess Markella (Pavlova), abbess of the Spaso-Kazansky Simansky Nunnery, Abbess Tatiana (Pashkova), abbess of the Spaso-Eleazarovsky Nunnery, as well as numerous parishioners and pilgrims who gathered to honor the memory of the great Russian poet.

After the service was over, a requiem liturgy was celebrated.

After the Liturgy on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Feognost greeted all those gathered. Then Metropolitan Arseny addressed the worshipers  Metropolitan Arseny. The guests of Velikolukskaya Bishop Sergius also welcomed the bishop of the diocese, who awarded diocesan prizes to those who had worked hard to beautify the Sviatogorsk monastery.

After the service was over, flowers were laid at the tomb of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin behind the altar of the Assumption Cathedral of the Svyatogorsk Monastery.
