Death as a biological reality is not something we have a dilemma about. Anyone who comes into the world will die. Death is not natural and does not belong to our nature that came from the hands of God, and the purpose of our existence is not to turn our being into utter nothingness. We know that we were created for life, and not for any life but eternal life, fullness of life, the Kingdom of God, and we know that we cannot attain it alone. We know that the Lord Christ has already done it for us, and it is in our hand to choose our freedom for him, viz. to choose his kingdom, and to do everything not to hinder him from giving us that kingdom of his and bringing us into it. Thus there is no death as a complete transformation into nothingness. This is why, brothers and sisters, as we pray today for the repose of the soul of God's handmaid Xenia and have hope in Christ and faith, we have no dilemma that Xenia is today in the Kingdom of comfort, hope, faith and loveˮ.
