On June 15, 2024, Metropolitan Ioannikiy of Montenegro and Primorye concelebrated the funeral service at the grave of Bishop Anthony (Pantelich) at the walls of the church the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul at the Yauzsky Gate — a suburb of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Moscow, the website of the Montenegrin-Primorski Metropolitan Church reports.
For more than two decades, since 2002, Vladyka Anthony was the representative of the Patriarch of Serbia to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, remaining in this position until his untimely death. He departed to the Lord on March 11, 2024 after a long and serious illness. The funeral service of the deceased was performed by the Primate of the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
