From March 7 to 10, 2024 on the territory of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Telyakovo, Tutayevsky district, Yaroslavl region held a spring meeting of the youth movement "Transfiguration", whose participants learn practical skills in the field of preservation of destroyed shrines, reports Parish.Ru. The event was organized by the youth department of the Rybinsk Diocese within the framework of the project "School of mentors "Transfiguration", supported by the Presidential Grants Fund. The program of the meeting, which was attended by children aged ten to 25 years old, was rich and exciting: they were waiting for live interactives, team games, master classes from experienced mentors and ceremonial formation. One of the key tasks of the "Transfiguration" project is to teach children and teenagers various skills and abilities useful for the work of conservation and restoration of churches. Several master classes were held as part of the spring gathering: on the rules of using various construction tools, on drawing ornaments, on making decorative elements and preparing the base for an iconostasis, on effective teamwork and on conducting a tour of the church.
