In continuation of the visit of the delegation of the New Nakhchivan and Russian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the All-Church Postgraduate School and Doctoral School after Saints Cyril and Methodius on December 23, 2023, an agreement was reached on the beginning of permanent cooperation between the Cultural-Educational Center "Book Chamber in Chernigov" and the Museum of Armenian Church Art "Tapan" in 2024.
The relevant negotiations were held by the directors of the Book Chamber and "Tapan" Museum V.F. Starodubtsev and D. Baghdasaryan with the participation of S.G. Alferov, a senior lecturer of the Department of Church-Practical Disciplines of OCAD, an employee of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate. The agreement was agreed upon with the head of the New Nakhichevan and Russian Diocese, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, and Archpriest Maxim Kozlov, the rector of the Chernigov suburbs in Moscow, rector of the OCAD, chairman of the Training Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church.
This interaction is planned to be developed within the framework of the program of multidisciplinary cooperation between the All-Church Postgraduate School and scientific and educational organizations of the New Nakhchivan Diocese and the Russian Diocese.
Over the next year, both sites will alternately host a variety of events, including thematic round tables, lectures, seminars, concerts and master classes.
The presentation of the first joint project - an exhibition of Armenian church fine arts with a lecture on the history of the Armenian Apostolic Church's temple architecture - is scheduled for February next year.
