On November 3, 2024, in the Week of the 19th Pentecost, Bishop Sophrony of Kinelsk and Bezenchuk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Kamenny Brod, Samara Region.
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Bishop Sophrony elevated to the rank of archimandrite the rector of the St. Nicholas Monastery in the village of Bogatoe Higumen Nikolai (Pashkov), who was elected Bishop of Georgievsky and Praskoveisky by the Holy Synod at its meeting on October 24 (Journal No. 113).

At the Liturgy, His Eminence was served by Archpriest Alexei Chichanovsky, dean of the Krasnoarmeisky Church District, Archpriest Sergius Vorozheikin, secretary of the Kinelsk Diocesan Office, and clerics of the Kinelsk Diocese.
The temple was attended by the deputy head of the m.ra. Krasnoarmeysky M.P. Yelin and the head of the village of Kolyvan A.N. Chernov were present at the temple.
Bishop Sophrony offered a prayer to the Lord for the Holy Russia. Archimandrite Nicholas (Pashkov) delivered the sermon before the communion. At the end of the service Vladyka Sophrony addressed the parishioners with a word.
After the Liturgy the parishioners and the ensemble «Belaya Dove» under the direction of N. Kupina congratulated the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexei Chichanovsky, on the 20th anniversary of the parish's revival.
