On November 4, 2024, on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Seraphim of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Spassky Cathedral of Penza. His Eminence was served by the vicar of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery of Penza. After the Liturgy, Vladyka Seraphim ordained subdeacon Alexei Lakhtikov to the rank of deacon. Priest Georgy Nasonov delivered the sermon before communion. At the end of the Liturgy there was a glorification before the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
The Head of the Penza Metropolitan Church congratulated the participants of the service on the holiday and addressed them with an archpastoral word:
