Temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States Bishop Matthew of Sourozh has congratulated Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States.
The text of the congratulations reads:

On behalf of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the United States of America, please accept congratulations on your election as President of the United States of America. For the second time the American people entrust you with the leadership of the country, associating with your presidency hopes for further economic and social development, strengthening harmony and stability in society.
We hope that the period of your presidency will be a time of finding ways to mutual understanding between countries and peoples, peaceful resolution of international conflicts, establishment of principles of religious freedom in the world.
