After the Liturgy, the procession of co-celebrants, clergy, monastics and laity, led by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos, accompanied by the singing of the Troparion to the Apostle James, brother of the Lord, proceeded to the throne room of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Patriarch Theophilos addressed the audience with a word in which he noted the crucial role of St. James in the formation of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church.
Afterwards, in keeping with tradition, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus presented the keys to the of the Apostle James Temple to its elders for safekeeping for a new term and blessed them, reports the RDM website.
