His Eminence Bishop Mr. Jovan of Sumadija. Jovan celebrated the Archdiocesan Liturgy on January 26, 2024, the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, in the Church of St. Petka in the Vinogradi district of Kragujevac.
- We are enlightened and sanctified every time we live the Christian life and every time we do a good deed. We sanctify and enlighten ourselves with the holy mysteries and virtues. We are especially enlightened through the holy mystery of repentance and the holy mystery of communion. Christ has shown by his example that humility is the cardinal virtue, a virtue above virtue. It is said that God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. If we want the grace of God, we must accept humility as love. Let us accept humility as a way of life," said Bishop Jovan.
The day before, on January 25, when the Church celebrates the miraculous icon of the Milkmaid and the holy martyr Tatiana, Bishop Jovan celebrated a divine service at the Kalenich Monastery. Archpriests Stavrophora Milovan Antonijević, Milić Marković and Dragoslav Cvetković, Priest Miroljub Simeunović and Protodeacon Ivan Gašić served the prayerful presence of the Kalenić Sisters, led by Hegumen Nektaria.
