On November 1, 2024, in Ioannovsky Stavropigial Nunnery St. St. Petersburg celebrated the Throne Feast of St. John of Rylsk, the day of memory of St. John of Rylsk, the day of the namesake and the birthday of the founder and patron saint of the monastery, Righteous John of Kronstadt. This year is the 195th anniversary of St. John's birth.
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the celebrations at the monastery were led by the Rector of St. Petersburg Theological Academy Bishop Silouan of Peterhof.

On the evening of October 31, Bishop Silouan arrived at the monastery. At the central entrance, His Eminence was met by the abbess of the monastery igumenia Ludmila (Voloshina) with her sisters. Vladyka went down to the temple-tomb, where he offered a prayer to Righteous John of Kronstadt. Then in the upper church of the Twelve Apostles, the bishop led the all-night vigil.
On the morning of November 1, two Divine Liturgies were celebrated in the monastery. The early — in the church of St. John of Rylsk. By tradition, at the end of the early Liturgy, a water-sanctifying prayer was celebrated.
The Late Liturgy in the Church of the Twelve Apostles was led by Bishop Silouan. Before the service began, the bishop visited the tomb of St. John of Kronstadt, where he prayed before the tomb of the saint.
The head of the Department for Relations with Religious Associations of the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg V.G. Ivanov was present in the temple.
The sermon before communion was delivered by the clergyman of the monastery Archpriest Demetrius Galkin.
The service ended with a festive prayer service to the patrons of the monastery — St. John of Rylsk and St. Righteous John of Kronstadt.

Hegumenia Lyudmila (Voloshina) thanked Bishop Silouan for the service and presented His Eminence with an icon of Righteous John of Kronstadt.
