Today our Church honors the memory of the holy martyrs Agathodorus, Epherius, Basileus, Elpidius and Eugenius and the memory of St. Arcadius and St. Nestorius, Bishops of Trimiphunte.
The Cypriot bishops Arcadius and Nestoras, who occupied the See of the Diocese of Trimiphunt, lived in the first centuries of Christianity. They were known for their struggle against idols.
In fact, they helped many pagans to know the true faith and to be baptized as Orthodox Christians. Both were great hierarchs of the Episcopate of St. Spyridon of Trimiphunt.
