The trip was attended by Hieromonk Makary (Komogorov), Deputy Chairman of the Publishing Council, Priest Andrei Stepanov, head of the exhibitions sector of the Publishing Council, N.V. Krechetov and S.A. Lobanov, employees of the Publishing Council, and V.N. Nikolaev and V.F. Kiryushin, winners of the Patriarchal Literature Prize.

In the course of the visit to military units, the writers V.N. Nikolaev and V.F. Kiryushin spoke to the soldiers, presented them with their books, as well as collections of military poetry, published by the publishing house «Veche» together with the Union of Writers of Russia.

The clergymen performed requiem litanies and served prayers of victory for the soldiers. To strengthen The August icon of the Mother of God from the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity from the Patriarchal Palace in the village of Troitskoye, Odintsovsky District, Moscow Region, and an ark with a part of the relics of St. George the Victorious Martyr were brought to the units. The soldiers were given icons, Suvorov prayer books and belts with the 90th Psalm.

The Publishing Council choir also sang old Russian songs, spirituals and military songs for the soldiers.

On the way to Berdyansk to organize the events of the exhibition-forum «Joy of the Word» the delegation of the Publishing Council visited the church in honor of Archangel Michael in Novoaidar settlement and handed over humanitarian aid for the Sisterhood in honor of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women.The Sisterhood received children's clothes, toys, sets of children's literature, as well as detergents. The collection of the humanitarian cargo was attended by the staff of the Publishing Council, the Publishing House of the Sretensky Monastery, the publishing house «Skrizhal», parishioners of the Trinity Church of Odintsovsky district.

The delegation was welcomed by the rector of the church, dean of the Novoaidarsky church district of the Lugansk Diocese Archpriest Eugene Rogozinsky. Fr. Eugene gave a tour of the territory parish and told about the history of the church. The construction of the town and its first church in honor of Archangel Michael are attributed to the time of Tsar Theodore Alexeevich. In 1797 a new temple was built by the efforts of priest Daniil Panteleimonov, who served in the temple for more than 40 years. In 1845 the temple was rebuilt on a stone foundation. In the 30s of the XX century the temple was destroyed by the God-fighters and was rebuilt in a new place in 1947. At the temple there is a diocesan sisterhood in honor of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women. Sisters of Charity visit the sick in hospitals, distribute humanitarian aid among the needy orphanages, boarding schools, homes for the elderly in the northern part of the Luhansk People's Republic.
