The event is held in the year of the 15th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. About 100 works were selected for the exposition, which reflects 14 years of development of the Patriarchal Program for the construction of Orthodox churches in the capital. The main emphasis is placed on the diversity of architecture of the new church ensembles, which have become an ornament of their own. districts. The exhibition tells about the revival of Moscow, about the changing urban landscape, about the combination of traditional and new in the artistic image of the city.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was performed by the children's choir «Khodynskie daisies» from the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh on Khodynskoe Field, erected in the framework of the Patriarchal program.
The main goal of the Program for the construction of Orthodox churches in the capital, jointly implemented by the Church, society and the state, — preservation and multiplication of the spiritual and cultural wealth of the country, strengthening traditional values in modern society.

The program of building Orthodox churches — a people's project, which is implemented solely on donations. To collect donations, a charitable support fund has been established The program provides for the creation of temple complexes as spiritual and social-educational centers. In addition, projects to restore historic churches are being implemented in the capital city. «Church communities are doing a lot of social work, holding charity events, helping large families, elderly and disabled people living alone. The city authorities create convenient spaces for walks and recreation around the erected temples. Information support for the Program is provided by the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow. Since 2016, the Department has been organizing open-air photo exhibitions dedicated to the new Moscow temples. In 2024, the exposition is placed in the Central and South-Western districts, from September to December.
