According to the Kazanfirst portal, Tatyana Prokofieva, the chief architect of Kazan, said. The foundation stone of the temple took place two years ago by decree of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The restoration of the historical church is carried out with the assistance of the Republican Fund 'Renaissance'. By the end of autumn this year, it is planned to complete the roofing, facade and finishing work inside the church. Then the building will need a pause of two to three years before icon painters can start painting. The cost of the work already completed to this day is estimated at 750 million rubles. The area of the cathedral will be 1650 square meters; height - 44 meters, and with crosses that will be installed on the domes until the end of summer - 48 meters.
