In Moscow, on Gogolevsky Boulevard, the exhibition of photographs 'We are friends with sports' opened its doors for visitors. The pictures presented at the exposition acquaint guests with the development of children's sports in the capital, in the territories adjacent to Orthodox churches.
A girl riding a young stallion, guys who met in a duel on foils, a group of hockey players rushing with a puck to the rivals' goal - all these bright moments of leisure of Moscow children and adolescents were captured by the camera of an artist or an amateur photographer. The program for the construction of churches in the Russian capital, in addition to the actual construction of new churches and chapels, also implies the development of the adjacent territory. It is here that playing fields, grounds and halls appear, allowing boys and girls to engage in various sports. Actually, all the photos presented at the exhibition were taken there. “During the implementation of the program, more than 40 capital and 90 temporary wooden churches were built, the parishes of which are actively involved in social work,” said Konstantin Blazhenov, Deputy Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the capital, answering the questions of the Vechernyaya Moskva correspondent. The photo exhibition 'We are friends with sports' will run until the end of September.
