An ark with a particle of the relics of the prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John was delivered to Samara from Rome. The shrine is open for worship of believers on all days of the work of the Orthodox exhibition 'Blessed Samara', which is taking place these days in the exhibition complex 'Expo-Volga'. Visitors to the exposition can also venerate other shrines presented at the Orthodox forum. This is an icon of the Savior, miraculously displayed on glass - as well as revered images brought here from churches and monasteries in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Montenegro and Greece. On all days of the exhibition, until September 17, as part of its cultural and educational program, performances by Orthodox writers will be held, including Father Sergiy Guselnikov, Father Nikolai Agafonov, Alexei Alekseevich Solonitsyn - and, in addition, meetings of forum guests with revered spiritual mentors. The musical component of the exhibition includes performances by the ensemble of ethnic and sacred music 'Alkonost', the SiriusEyes group and several local creative groups. For everyone, there will be a handicraft platform, where anyone who comes will be able to attend a master class, make a clay figurine, felted wool or paint on plaster. All districts of the Samara region presented at the exhibition regional expositions reflecting local history, including the most important events in the spiritual and cultural life of each of them.
