In the temple in Altai, the image of John the Baptist appeared on the wall

In the city of Rubtsovsk, Altai Territory, an image of John the Baptist appeared on the wall of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was discovered by parishioners when, during the cleaning of the church for the Easter holiday, they removed the icon of this saint. The reverse icon of the icon is completely flat, nevertheless, the silhouette of the Forerunner with a cross in his hand in an incomprehensible way appeared behind her on the wall.



Both the parishioners and the clergy of the temple consider the incident to be an undoubted miracle. Bishop Rubtsovskiy and Aleiskiy Roman adheres to the same opinion. Representatives of the local clergy believe that it is symbolic that the image of a strict ascetic and denouncer of human sins, who called people to repentance, appeared to people precisely in the days of Great Lent. The miraculous image was still covered with glass. Not only residents of Rubtsovsk, but also believers from other cities and villages of the Altai Territory come here to see him and venerate the miraculously revealed icon. By the way, this is already the second Orthodox miracle in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Rubtsov: in the middle of the last decade, a cross was streaming here.
